A bedroom should be a room where you are completely relaxed and cozy in. Each night when you fall asleep the last thing you will see is the dcor in your bedroom. You will need to figure out how you want to decorate your room, and what kind of feelings you want to feel when you get your new looking bedroom done. Maybe you’re hoping for a romantic haven for you and your spouse. Or just wanting a nice area where you can come to get away from it all. Remember also to keep in mind the size of your bedroom and how much you will be able to fit into it without making it too crowded.
Changing the color of the walls into a choice that will make the room easier to decorate, place up some nice neutral color, this will leave you open to adding in colors on the wall with some nice paintings or even using a rubber stamp with a nice design on it.
Next, you want to cover your bed with a high quality cotton sheets in a solid color, pattern, or print that reflects your mood. Not just your current mood, but your overall mood. Top your bed with a beautiful comforter, feather bed, or duvet to add luxury to your decorating style.
If your bedroom is one where you want a romantic feeling don’t get the room too crowded. For this reason you will want enough closed spaces where you can clear the clutter up. Remember you may have to make up for a smaller bedroom by placing more storage around, but not making it way too crowded.
Furniture is very important for the bedroom. You will need to make sure that the bed is sturdy enough so that you can get a good night sleep. Don’t ever pick a setup that doesn’t make you want to snuggle into the bed and fall asleep. Your bedroom is simply put your sanctuary away from the world. Adding in some more color with extra throw pillows is a great idea too.
Adding in a nice area rug on the floor will have the room feeling warmer and more comfortable. You have many colors that you can get the rug in, or try and match the design on your comforter. This area rug will tie every part of your bedroom dcor together.
